"I was
born and raised in a family of six. The third of four children, I have now
reached the ripe old age of 55 years. My father, achieving a senior rank in the Canadian air-force, raised us in that 'removed from the main flow' of societal influences, the military base. I remember distinctly moving our place of residence every three years. This was both a blessing and a curse. The joy of experiencing people of different cultural bases was a pleasure, which afforded me an enriched upbringing. The fun of childhood was diverse and rich, but the cost was the constant loss of friends. My parents were tough and insistent on Christian discipline and respect of elders. I was a church altar boy, and began singing as early as nine in an elementary school play. I was later asked to join and sing soprano solos in the church choir, but felt extremely embarrassed in the performing role. I praise God for His amazing and consistent guidance throughout my life. The opportunity to join the group Aeternal, was another long sought after dream. I trusted God that I would one day be able to return the favors, and the love and gift of insight, in a broader reaching way. The creation of Aeternal is a special gift of the Holy Spirit, without doubt, as the others will attest to. We have a special purpose to unify all Christians and peoples everywhere. God Bless You All". - Paul Despault |
