A little group history...
Æternal Ministries began in October of 1997. It started as collaboration between music composer Brendan Kelly and lyricist Daniel Garvin where they first met during an Alpha course in basic Christianity and were inspired to write music together.
The Ministry has gone through some changes over the course of the past ten years. Brendan left the group in 2002 to pursue other interests and other changes that took place included down sizing from twelve members to only five where Daniel continues to be our lyricist and is now joined by Dieter as our music composer.
Over the span of this time the group has produced 3 cd's, the first "Embracing Christ" the second "Bursting with the Spirit" and the third " In Christian Unity."
When they decided to produce the first CD, a group name was required. They thought of Eternal, but to lend creedence to the beginning of their collaboration through the Alpha course it was decided to add the A to Eternal and thus Æternal was born.
Æternal's music has also evolved and is now more upbeat contemporary Christian.
The present members of the group are front row left to right : Daniel Garvin, Karl Heinz Schuler, arms crossed Mike Amelotte and Dieter Ferworn Back row standing is Paul Despault. (Karl Heinz Schuler recently moved to France on Job assignment and therefore Aeternal is seeking a bassist to fill that position.)
Since 1997 there have been over 100 original songs of worship written by Æternal Ministries. In 1999 we began sharing our gifts with our Christian brothers and sisters around the world.
We, of Æternal Ministries are devoted to spreading the message of Christian unity - "to believe in Christ means to desire unity; to desire unity means to desire the Church; to desire the Church means to desire God".
In sharing God's message we have celebrated with Anglican, Catholic, United, Lutheran, Reform, Baptist, and Presbyterian congregations. Aeternal has also visited prisons, seniors residences, palliative care residence and performed at different charitable events. Aeternal has also performed at various coffee houses and other concerts. "We will sing of God as long as the Holy Spirit will allow us to, and sing in as many different rooms of God's house as will invite us in".
The group has been featured on 100 Huntley Street, radio talk shows, and various religious articles in and around Montreal, Canada, and the border States.
